If You’re Gonna Go All Out, This Is the Weekend to Do It

Hey there,

It feels like we’re taking my advice because of the number of us outside last weekend. Record-breaking! And from the looks of things, this weekend’s about to top that.

We’re talking back-to-back raves, live concerts, book clubs, trivia nights, art to soothe your soul, and parties stretching until sunrise. If your energy’s been waiting for a sign, this is it.

Full disclosure: this isn’t the cheapest weekend, but it is one of the most exciting. The good news? More free events than last week, and plenty of value packed into every ticket. Think of it as an investment in memories, music, and main character moments.

So, what’s the move? All of them.

Let’s get into it.

Friday

1. GROUP THERAPY

Livespot Entertainment Center, Lekki Phase 1 | Friday, 10:00 PM | ₦15,850
This isn’t your average night out—it’s Group Therapy, and it’s exactly the kind of chaos your weekend needs. Come for the DJs, stay for the energy, the lights, the freedom. It’s high-octane and high-style, like Lagos loves it.

2. INSERT NIGHTS: MAYDAY

Mantra Lounge, Adeola Odeku, VI | Friday, 9:00 PM | ₦5,000
Sticking to tradition, I’m heading to Insert Nights with the boys this Friday, and I already know it’s about to go off. DJs are on rotation, the crowd is always fresh, and Mantra never misses when it comes to keeping things loud, late, and lit.

SATURDAY

3. OTHERSIDE BOOK CLUB

Plot 0, Peace Mall, Block 10, VGC, Lekki | Saturday, 5:00 PM | Free
It’s not just books—it’s energy, opinions, and that rare mix of brains and vibes. I’m heading to Otherside Book Club this Saturday, and if you’ve ever wanted to argue (intelligently) over wine and wild plot twists, this is your cue.

4. HYSTERIA: THE Y2K EDITION

Trib3 Lagos, 288B Ajose Adeogun, VI | Saturday, 9:00 PM | ₦10,600
Low-rise jeans? Check. Flip phones? Maybe. High-energy throwback hits? Absolutely. HYSTERIA is throwing it back to the early 2000s, and I’ll be there right after the book club—because balance. Expect glitter, chaos, and enough nostalgia to leave you screaming lyrics you didn’t even know you remembered.

5. CARTE LAGOS: RAFFIA CITY

7b Olatunji Moore, Lekki Phase 1 | Saturday, 5:00 PM | ₦55,000
It’s not a party. It’s an experience. Carte Lagos turns every edition into a world of its own—and this time, it’s “Raffia City.” The dress code’s divine, the menu? Decadent. If you’re ready to spend, stun, and soak in Lagos luxury at its boldest, this is the one.

6.  IMPROV CIRCLE LIVE: WORK-LIFE BALANCE

4 AJ Marinho Drive, VI | Saturday, 6:00 PM | ₦5,000
If your life is anything but balanced, come laugh about it with the crew at Improv Circle Live. It’s giving unscripted comedy, awkward truths, and big belly laughs—all in one spot. No punchline is safe, and that’s exactly why it works.

7.  PALMWINE & FRIENDS: STREETWEAR EDITION

Clubhouse, Landmark Towers, VI | Saturday, 9:00 PM | ₦7,975
Palmwine in hand, sneakers laced, drip checked. Palmwine & Friends is back, and this time, it’s all about the fit. Just pull up with your best streetwear and let Lagos do the rest.

8. UTOPIA

Vault Social House, VI | Saturday, 9:00 PM | ₦6,000
Utopia is what happens when sound meets soul. Afro, house, amapiano, and something in-between—all served in a space that knows how to hold a vibe.

9. MADHOUSE: FAR FROM HOME

The Cavern, 5 Adeola Hopewell, VI | Saturday, 9:00 PM | ₦10,600

This isn’t your everyday rave. It’s Madhouse, and this edition’s for the wild at heart. Think immersive sets, deep bass, and a crowd down for anything—just like you.

10. MAKE MUSIC LIVE CONCERT

Bature Brewery, 256 Etim Inyang Crescent, VI | Saturday, 7:00 PM | Free

Live bands, cold beer, and music made to move you. Make Music Lagos at Bature is for the ones who want their night to unfold with live energy and zero expectations.

SUNDAY

11. THE STARS I FOLLOWED

22B Olawale Cole Onitiri Ave, Lekki | Sunday, 11:00 AM | Free

If you’re into art that speaks softly but lands loud, The Stars I Followed is your gentle Sunday nudge. This solo exhibition offers a deeply personal, poetic walk through memory, stillness, and imagination in an intimate, sunlit gallery space.

12. LAGOS TRIVIA NIGHT

POP at Landmark, Water Corporation Dr, VI | Sunday, 5:00 PM | ₦14,275

I’m locking this in for Sunday because nothing beats the rush of a trivia win, especially when you’ve got jollof in one hand and your team screaming in your ear. Lagos Trivia Night brings food, drinks, fire questions, and real bragging rights.

13. OFF THE LEASH

The Vault Social House, VI | Sunday, 6:00 PM | ₦7,500

Looking for where the real weekend send-off happens? Off the Leash has you covered. DJs on rotation, a crowd with energy, and the perfect balance between chill and charged.

14. MÌLÍKÌ Bloom Bar With FlowersFloating234

MILIKI, 7B Etim Inyang Crescent, VI | Sunday, 4:00 PM | ₦50,000

This isn’t just a bar—it’s a curated floral experience. MÌLÍKÌ Bloom Bar is mixing handcrafted drinks, live DJ sets, and an immersive garden installation from FlowersFloating234.

15. SUPPER CLUB

The Gather House, Ikoyi | Sunday, 6:00 PM | ₦89,000

Luxury dining with strangers who don’t stay strangers for long. Supper Club returns with a seasonal tasting menu, premium wine pairings, and the kind of slow, thoughtful storytelling you only find over a well-set table.

16. SOUNDS OF COLOR

Alliance Française, 9 Osborne Rd, Ikoyi | Sunday, 6:00 PM | ₦15,000

Where sound meets canvas, Sounds of Color is a synesthetic experience blending live music with live painting. Expect colour, creativity, and a beautiful blur of art forms colliding.

In Abuja This Weekend? Check These Out

Sunday

1. SOUNDSCAPE 404

Sofa Lounge, 81 Adetokunbo Ademola Cres., Wuse 2, Abuja | Sunday, 7:00 PM | Free

Abuja crew, your Sunday reset just found its soundtrack. Soundscape 404 is an immersive listening session blending alternative soundwaves, genre-fluid beats, and vibe-heavy atmosphere. Whether you’re showing up solo or with your crew, come ready to tune in, zone out, and end the weekend on the right frequency.

That’s your weekend lineup, and there's no single dull patch here.

Whether you’re sipping at supper clubs, making music memories, book clubbing in peace, or raving till your feet give up—there’s something with your name on it.

I’ll be bouncing between Otherside Book Club and some late-night chaos (you know I couldn’t pick just one), and I will be claiming my seat at Trivia Night on Sunday. So if you spot me, say hey.

Skip the planning if you must. Just don’t skip the fun.

See you outside,

Israel.
